- After a few years of running the odd 10k and telling everyone 'yes, I'll do a marathon at some point in my life'... the time has arrived a bit earlier than anticipated and I have a place to run the London Marathon on 25 April 2010. For this feat I am raising money for CRY (Cardiac in the Young) in memory of Mark Gallacher, who died from Sudden Death Syndrome in 2006 at the young age of 21. The money I raise will go to the very worthy cause who work hard to prevent such tragedies by screening and conducting further research into young sudden cardiac death and offer bereavement support for those affected.

Good luck with all the training and of course the marathon as well.
