in search of a 'tyson'

Another week complete and all still on target - time is flying past! Recovery run on Monday, track session on Tuesday, core workout at the gym wed, tempo with the club thurs, short o&b fri and long run sun. Phew.

Probably the toughest part of my week is that darn core workout. I am improving... but you just need to glance at my 'Rocky' video to see how lame my push-up / sit-up technique is! Its safe to say that since leaving Strathclyde netball I have lost any upper body strength I ever had. I am the female Mr Muscle.

Good steady 16mile run on Sunday, finishing stronger than the week before and faster (perhaps due to hills being slightly kinder). 10 of those miles were assisted by the banter of Anna, Martin and Stuart (thanks!), and the final mile was assisted by a rottweiler named 'Tyson', chasing me down Dumbarton Road (thanks?) Never realised I could run so quickly - anyone got an angry dog to chase me for 26.2 miles in London??

Also, the next video has now been launched of me in my 'natural environment'. All for the sake of a good cause, so I'm told!

  1. You could potentially have a womble chasing you round London :-)

Hope you are well and training is still on track. Seems like forever since I've seen you. Big Gary made a show at training last night.

    See you soon.

  2. Its gotta be more soul destroying when the womble overtakes me though...

I'll be back at club this thursday - shame I missed Gary last week, I do miss his improptu tempo sessions on a thurs! ;-)
